Place M is Japan's oldest photography gallery, celebrated for its dedication to both iconic and emerging photographers. Over the years, the gallery has showcased the works of renowned Japanese photographers such as Daido Moriyama, Masahisa Fukase, Issei Suda, and Hiroh Kikai, alongside a diverse range of international talent.
The gallery is located in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo's vibrant hub for photography, and is just steps away from one of the city's most iconic attractions, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.
We host exhibitions year-round, offering a platform for photographers to showcase their work to a global audience. In addition to exhibitions, Place M also provides photo workshops, darkroom rentals, printing services and publishing opportunities.
