The Global Peace Photo Award (formerly the Alfred Fried Photography Award) is organized by Edition Lammerhuber in partnership with Photographische Gesellschaft (PHG), UNESCO, Austrian Parliament, Austrian Parliamentary Reporting Association, International Press Institute (IPI), World Press Photo Foundation, POY LATAM, LensCulture, APA – Austria Presse Agentur, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh) e.V., UNICEF Austria and Vienna Insurance Group.

The Peace Image of the Year is honoured with a cash prize of €6,000\. It will be exhibited in the Austrian Parliament for one year and included in the permanent art collection of the Austrian Parliament.

1 Childen's Peace Image of the Year receives €1,000

  
All winning works will be awarded the Alfred Fried Peace Medal and the photographers will be invited to the award ceremony in Vienna in September 2025, with travel expenses and accommodation covered. The pictures will be exhibited in the Austrian Parliament for one year.

  
All submitted images have the chance to take part in international exhibitions.
