BREEDBEELD Open Screen is **a free cinema for anyone who wants to show a short film.** There is no jury that makes a selection and no restriction on genre or level. Open Screen is an 'open' concept. **So everyone can participate** , although we do aim for a certain balance in the program. Afterwards we go to the cinema café for a nice chat.

Open Screen #15 will take place in De Cinema in Antwerp on Tuesday 29 April 2025\. From 8pm to 10pm we will show your entries and afterwards anyone who wants to can chat about the films.

BREEDBEELD provides resources via the Flemish Government to financially support the creation of film projects. In doing so, we want to stimulate talent development among filmmakers.

You can apply for **a maximum of €2,500 and provide for 20% other income** in the budget.

Submissions for the 13th edition of BREEDBEELD Short Film Festival run from March 15 to August 13, 2025\. Submitting your film is free.

  
From 6 to 9 November, short films by promising filmmakers will be shown in De Cinema in De Studio in Antwerp. Fiction, animation, documentary and experimental work will be on the agenda. The short film festival is open to films by all makers and all genres. The main condition is that your film was made WITHOUT VAF subsidy, wildcard budget or commissioned by a production house or broadcaster.

  
In addition to the competition films, there will be guest programs and various specials, talks and workshops.
