The residency will be hosted in the exhibition space of rhizome\_, located in Kortrijk's station district. This unique workspace offers a direct connection to both the surrounding environment and the city. The residency is built around three core pillars:

  
* We welcome artists for whom research is a fundamental part of their practice. Throughout the residency, the emphasis is on process and experimentation. Projects with a strong interdisciplinary approach are preferred, and collaborations that support this are encouraged.
* We are particularly interested in hybrid artistic practices that explore the boundaries between disciplines, including visual arts, audiovisual arts, dance, music, choreography, scenography, and performance.
* Engaging with the public is also a key aspect. The studio is seen as a space for encounters, dialogue, and exchange. We encourage proposals that actively connect with the urban context and engage audiences in innovative ways. To support this, one or two public presentation weekends will be scheduled during the residency.

  
The residency runs from 1 July to 14 September, 2025, culminating in a public showcase on the weekend of 13 and 14 September.

— A workspace at rhizome\_ for the residency period (approx. 9.2m (L) x 6.5m (W) x 2.6m (H); see attached floor plan). 

— A fee of €1.815 (incl. VAT). 

— A production budget of up to €2,500 (incl. VAT), covering material costs, collaboration-related expenses, and costs associated with presentation moments. 

— If needed, a budget for accommodations in Kortrijk, to be arranged with Be-Part. 

— Organizational and production support for public presentation events in September. 

— A travel allowance (separate from the fee and production budget) with a maximum reimbursement of €600\. 

— Networking opportunities and curatorial support tailored to the project.
