Till Langschied concentrates his artistic practice on the field of human hopes and dreams and investigates how they manifest themselves in the form of machines and technologies. Based on his practice-oriented research, he developed the slogan "The Future Is Boring" and, at the same time, the performance character Till Tumaroh, which he uses visually and performatively as an avatar on various levels within his work.
Till Tumaroh's written manifesto was published by Éditions Extensibles, Paris, and performed as a lecture performance at the Librairie du Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2019) and the Dampfzentrale in Bern (2018).

For the "Palm Reading of Tumaroh" Performance (which came with a video, a zine and several GIFs) Langschied worked with the concepts of his research into the ways humans merge and interconnect with technology. His focus thereby is on the emotional quality that is projected onto technology. The idea of connectivity becomes something spiritual by discussing the usage of smartphone technology within a setting of a palm reading session. The palm is suggested to give away the secrets of who the person is within the online world. 

The performance was premiered in 2019 at the I Never Read art book fair in Basel and will be shown again in 2020 at Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Vienna and the Centre Culture Suisse, Paris.
