Kranj Foto Fest, an international festival of contemporary photography based in Slovenia, announces its Open Call for projects to be exhibited during the 5th edition of the festival in August 2025!

  
In addition to the winner, the festival will select up to 12 projects to participate in group exhibitions at Kranj Foto Fest 2025\. In some cases, the curatorial team may choose to upgrade some of these selected projects to solo exhibitions, assigning them to special locations and venues in the old town of Kranj. Exhibitions may take place at historic landmarks, art centers, in the canyon, forests, by the river, in the castle gardens, and in the tunnels beneath the medieval town of Kranj. Selected artists will also receive accommodation for three nights in Kranj during the festival's opening week.

  
Production costs for the exhibitions will be covered by the festival. The Open Call is open to all, with no thematic, age, or regional restrictions. Photographers from all backgrounds are invited to apply. This call for entries embraces an open theme, encouraging submissions without thematic constraints. Feel free to submit your project or series exploring any theme of your choice.

  
For one month, at the height of the European summer, the old town of Kranj will once again transform into an exciting hub of contemporary photography, bringing together emerging and established photographers from all over the world. Submit your work for the chance to exhibit at Kranj Foto Fest 2025, when the city becomes an open-air photo gallery. By applying to this Open Call, you’ll have your work reviewed by a qualified jury. If selected, you’ll work closely with the curatorial team to plan your exhibition and showcase your work to a qualified audience, including curators, photo editors, gallery owners, and publishers from Slovenia and abroad. publishers from Slovenia and abroad.

Selected projects will be exhibited during the 5th edition of the festival in August 2025\. The jury will select one winner, who will receive a solo exhibition at Kranj Foto Fest 2025, a €1,000 cash prize, travel expenses to Kranj (up to €400), and accommodation for three nights during the festival's opening week.

**The ON::View Artist-in-Residency Program provides time, space and community, to support artists in their research, concept and execution of focused creative endeavors.**

  
Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast’s flagship project, Sulfur Studios, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a focused project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artists’ work to be on view to the community at all times. Sulfur Studios’ visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the artists’ process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. Community events like workshops, performances, public art projects and artist talks offer creative ways to interact with the public. The ON::View Residency supports artists working in all media and from across the globe.

  
Just blocks east of the Residency Studio, the 5th Dimension Apartment features a full kitchen, bath and main room to comfortably house the Artist (+1 guest if requested) for the duration of their stay. The 5th Dimension Apartment has a private gated entrance with plenty of space to create, lounge and entertain. It is our hope that by providing lodging for ON::View Artists that we will accommodate a diverse range of creatives from far and wide, as we continue to fulfill our mission to make Savannah a destination for the arts.

**Accommodation:** The 5th Dimension Apartment is located 5 blocks east of Sulfur Studios. It has a private gated entrance and private yard. It has a small but full kitchen with sink, 4-burner electric stove, refrigerator, dishware and basic cooking supplies. The bathroom is small with a standup shower. There is a closet with a small lofted area for additional storage. The apartment is equipped with wifi and TV. A queen sized bed with underneath storage allows the room to remain uncluttered. The main room is approximately 225 sq ft, and the high ceilings and 4 large windows that look out onto the yard give the space a comfortable and easy-going atmosphere, with great light in the mornings. Smoking and pets are not allowed in the apartment. There is no onsite laundry, but a laundromat is a 5 minute drive. Free on-street parking is available.

  
All ON::View Residents will have the opportunity to participate in an annual **group exhibition** featuring all of the Residents of the last year. The exhibition will take place in January, 2026.

ON::View Artist in Residence 

Our residencies programme supports professional development, cultural exchange, and artistic experimentation. We host up to twenty residencies each year, bringing artists from all over the world to London. All our residencies are self-led, non-prescriptive and process-based; they are about enabling artists to research and develop new work, engage with the city, and build their networks. 

  
We provide administrative, pastoral, and curatorial support throughout the residency, but we expect residents to be self-motivated, and to lead on the research and production of their own work, during their time with us.

**The eleven-week, fully funded residency will take place at Gasworks in London from 7 July – 15 September 2025 and include**: 

  
• 24-hour access to a fully accessible private studio at Gasworks, alongside other resident artists, and a community of London-based studio holders. 

  
• Single room accommodation in Gasworks’ Residency House: a two-story house, with three communal bathrooms and a kitchen, shared with other resident artists. 

  
• Economy return flights and taxi transfers from the artist’s home country to London, including one cabin and one hold luggage. 

  
• All visa costs and support with the visa application process. 

  
• A weekly stipend of £150 to cover living expenses in London. 

  
• A materials budget of up to £800\. 

  
• A prepaid travel card (TFL zones 1+2) for unlimited travel within central London throughout the residency. 

  
• An Open Studio event and presentation introducing the work and research developed during the residency, which will take place on Saturday 6 September. 

  
• Access to Gasworks’ basic tools and AV equipment, subject to availability. 

  
• A dedicated residency page on Gasworks’ website, including short video interview introducing the artist’s work, filmed and edited by Gasworks during the residency. 

  
• Networking opportunities and at least two individual studio visits with other artists, curators and arts professionals. 

  
• Administrative, pastoral, and curatorial support from Gasworks’ staff during office hours, from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. 

Residency open call for artists based in Georgia

Families in Gaza have endured one of the most deadly and well-documented genocides in recent history.

As a means of solidarity, both for the families impacted in Gaza and Palestinians who have been living under Zionist occupation for over 76 years, artists Michelle Nazzal & Sam Sundos teamed up to curate a billboard exhibition, under the newly founded collective Unibrow Sun.

Alongside SaveArtSpace, the exhibition is presented in hopes of providing artists and advocates a platform. A place to amplify their voices as they continue to call for an end to the occupation and for a Free Palestine.

This project is not for profit and all fees for submission will go towards project funding costs. In addition, 10% of all submission fees will be donated to our friends at the Gaza Mutual Aid Solidarity fund, as they continue their work on the ground. 

  
A NOTE FROM THE CURATORS:

Palestinian voices are often left out of the conversation in global art spaces. Our involvement in this project is an attempt to offer a larger platform to artists who share our steadfast belief that occupation across all lands must end, and that Palestine, within our lifetime, will be free. We hope to inspire those who have not yet found the courage to use their voices.

We are aware of the indirect support this exhibition provides to Palestinians on the land, who need it most. We use this opportunity to keep Palestine on people's lips in a country that is actively funding its destruction.

The climate crisis is an urgent global concern. **Self as Universe: Mending Our Collective Ecosystem Residencies at A Studio in the Woods** invite artists to explore the connections within our collective ecosystems and use the power of imagination to heal the wounds in the relationship between ourselves and our communities. **Southeast Louisiana’s land and inhabitants are continually scarred by the effects of environmental degradation.** These injuries – the historical to the present – affect our bodies, families, communities, and cultures, as well as the land and its other creatures. We encourage artists to guide our collective response as the caretakers and caregivers to our universe while bringing wisdom, integrity, optimism, and even humor to intentional and timely projects seeking transformation for our species and planet. This new call reflects a desire to repair the disconnection and alienation between humankind and the planet that is hindering the climate movement.

  
We are open to artists of all disciplines who have demonstrated an established dialogue with environmental and cultural issues. We ask artists to describe in detail how our unique region will affect their work, propose a public component to their residency, and suggest ways how they will engage with the local community.

  
**Dates:**

Residencies are 6 weeks and will take place between September 2025 and May 2026\. Flexibility in your dates is appreciated as we try to accommodate everyone’s schedules. You may come over six consecutive weeks or come twice for three-week sessions.

  

* Recipients will be provided $3000 as a stipend and $2000 towards materials.
* We support each residency with a liberatory land orientation, a photography session, and an interview with a videographer.
* We additionally fund optional field trips such as boat rides and eco/history tours.
* Depending on the needs of the project, we may be able to assist artists in accessing Tulane University faculty consultants or research collections.
* We provide full room and board including food, utilities for living, and studio space to selected residents.
* Residents are expected to cover personal living expenses, additional materials and supplies, and any other expenses relating to the cost of producing work incurred while in the program. Travel and shipping expenses to and from A Studio in the Woods for the residency are also the responsibility of the artist.

Self as Universe: Residencies

Since 2017, the Creative Industries Fund NL, the Film Fund, the Performing Arts Fund NL, the Mondriaan Fund and the Literary Fund have jointly offered work periods in the Van Doesburg House in Meudon, Paris, via open calls, where makers and designers can further develop their artistic practice.

  
With this call from the Creative Industries Stimulation Fund, one work period of four months is offered. In the studio house that Theo van Doesburg designed for himself and his wife Nelly in the late 1920s, makers and designers can do research, develop ideas or create new work.

  
The Stimuleringsfonds is open to various applications, but particularly encourages proposals with conceivable scenarios for a garden design for the Van Doesburghuis, which reflects the avant-garde vision of the Van Doesburgs. This vision revolves around a harmonious connection between architecture and nature, while at the same time responding to contemporary challenges around biodiversity and circularity.

  
In line with Theo and Nelly's interdisciplinary practice and versatile artistry, a collaboration with an applicant within another discipline is also possible within this period.

For a work period you will receive a subsidy of €2,000 (max. €8,000), intended for travel, material, transport and accommodation costs. The rent of the studio home is paid directly by the Stimuleringsfonds to the Stichting Het Van Doesburghuis. This amount also applies to duos.

Residency Van Doesburghuis 2025

CreArt Kaunas and Kaunas Artists’ House announce an open call for land/environmental art creators and invite them to create land/environmental art installations in public spaces along the river Nemunas in Kaunas. The artworks must be made of natural, biodegradable materials and integrate harmoniously into the local context and landscape.

  
The created works will be presented on 24 May 2025 during the festival ‘Let’s Celebrate the River!’, which is part of the CreArt 3.0 programme’s ‘European Month of Creativity’.

  
The River and Land Art is a small-scale plein-air event taking place from 10 to 24 May 2025, as an introductory part of the festival ‘Let’s Celebrate the River!’. The festival is a community-based cultural initiative born during the period of Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022\. Its goal is to encourage the city’s inhabitants to reconnect with Lithuania’s major rivers flowing through the city, to open them up for cultural events and community meetings, and to jointly search for the signs and expressions of the identity of the local communities that are located along the rivers.

**WHAT WE OFFER**

  
* A fee of **€1,000** (including taxes) for two-week residency in Kaunas and the creation of a land/environmental art piece.
* Travel expenses from the artist's hometown to Kaunas and back (up to **€400**), and accommodation in Kaunas (up to 15 days).
* Materials budget capped at **€1,000**. The residency work plan must include a detailed amount of materials necessary for the implementation of the artwork. Preference is given to natural and biodegradable materials.

Kaunas Land Residency & Public Art Installation

The highly anticipated Signature Art Prize 2025 is now open for submissions, inviting emerging artists to showcase their distinctive creative style at the start of their professional careers.

  
Established by Gallery Directors Isobel Beauchamp and Elinor Olisa, the Signature Art Prize was founded to identify and celebrate the unique ‘Signature Style’ of early-career artists. They define an artist’s ‘signature style’ as being “that which makes an artist unique; a combination of process and method, contributed to by the artist’s own personality which results in a piece that is unique and specific to them.” With their extensive experience in the contemporary art market, Beauchamp and Olisa are dedicated to nurturing artistic individuality and supporting new talent.

  
Those who visit university degree shows will be aware of the remarkable talent and high standards on show; The Signature Art Prize aims to capture this energy and assist young artists in exhibiting and promoting their work in an often challenging art world.

Open For Entries | The Signature Art Prize 14th Edition

The Bader + Simon gallery, scheduled to open in 2025 in Cincinnati’s vibrant Over-The-Rhine neighborhood, will showcase the work of emerging, underrepresented artists and the subjects that matter most to them - subjects we all need to be exposed to. Through two gallery spaces, Bader + Simon will present rotating shows with both local artists as well as a range of global artists with 100% of sale going directly to the artist. Through our programming, we strive to be collaborative visual activists working together to educate, enlighten, and create lasting change.

The Bader + Simon Empowerment Grant, founded by the Bader + Simon Board of Directors in 2023, will bring much-needed attention to emerging, underrepresented voices and themes. Art will be used to elicit dialogue, inquiry, and understanding to broaden the impact of our work. Community programming will enhance the theme of the exhibit. 

  
**Grantee Requirements**

* Online presentation and discussion of work to reflect the mission of Bader + Simon.
* Attendance at exhibition opening with an artist talk at the commencement of the event (travel and accommodations will be provided by the gallery).
* Check-ins with a representative from the grant panel via Zoom will occur every three months during the duration of the grant period.
* Create a body of work that will be presented at Bader + Simon.

The Bader + Simon Empowerment Grant

The District is seeking SOQs to create a pool of qualified artists to provide the design, creation, and installation of a prominent public art project on the exterior façade of the new Performance Art Center. 

For this project, CAPS is specifically seeking the design, creation, and installation of a prominent public art project on the exterior façade of the new Performance Art Center. This public art installation may be created from any materials of the artist’s, or artist team’s, choosing that can endure complete exposure to the elements. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional elements are feasible, along with electrical lighting, neon signage, sound features, landscaping elements, and/or other interactive components.

**Budget:**

The total maximum project budget totals $105,000 for commissions, as follows:

The budget for this commission is inclusive of all artist fees, artwork fabrication and installation, insurance, engineering, and artwork transportation. The commission budget does not include the initial RFP stipend, campus signage, the artwork lighting, foundations, or structural or MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) connections required to install the artworks, which will be funded (if necessary and approved) through a separate budget.
