Sculptures of the first kind, with light, glow only at night or when it is dark indoors because this is how solar panels work. During the day, without illumination, the sculptures have one appearance and charge the battery, and at night they look different because they are perceived together with the light they emit.

The sunlight

I work with watercolours to capture my sensitivity to the world and its changing essence. Inspirational observation of plant life gives me a peaceful state of mind and opens my inner strength. Nature shares its philosophy with those who are sufficiently observant and caring. The small ponds and steep river slopes I’ve been sitting near, the hogweed thickets and young apple trees I admired, the summer twilight that I decided to keep in my memory. You can now empathise with all these locations and atmospheres and adjust to balance with the environment.

Forest around the pond

Do you have a fear of seaweeds in the water too? This is probably one of the most common fears in water that people have. I also have it, so I decided to create sculptures depicting these seaweeds, but they are very bright, colorful, and attractive, give a good mood. So when I swim in the water and touch the seaweeds, I will always remember these sculptures and I will not be so scared, because I will imagine vivid images in my imagination. These sculptures distract people from the fear of algae underwater.

Red fish always stand out from the others by their color. The shores of Tasmania were once rich in such colorful fish. Now there are about 100 fish left in a small bay on the island. This is affected by water pollution, siltation. The sculpture depicts one of the fish species (Thymichthys politus), which is only 10 cm long. The artist wanted to convey the moment when you look at the water and see a small flock of redfish floating under the water, of which only 100 remain on the planet.



Rare redfish

I was lucky enough to visit Ras Mohammed National Park in Egypt - one of the most beautiful places on the Red Sea, which is one of the ten best beaches in the world for scuba diving. I went with my family, we bought a tour, we rode on a white yacht along the coast of Sharm el-Sheikh. Closer and closer to the destination, the sea became lighter or acquired a different color due to different depths and coral reefs under water. I remember how deep I dived and how many coral reefs there were, there were so many fish that you didn't have time to look at them all, I especially liked the ballistod fish that ate corals. It was interesting to swim in the depths with our instructors while the tourists were snorkeling. The park was established in 1983 to protect the marine and wildlife, and the name Ras Mohammed means the Head of Mohammed and refers to the windswept rock in which fishermen recognized the head of the Prophet Muhammad. In this work, I conveyed all the beauty and character of the coral reefs of the park, the smell of the sea and the dynamics. Materials used in the work: recycled paper, slime on canvas.

Trip to the underwater park Ras-Mohamed

Green anemone - one of the species of coral, this anemone comes from the Indian and Pacific Oceans, Fiji and the Red Sea. I depicted this coral because I was fascinated by the dynamics of its movements. I saw this coral only once in the Red Sea in Egypt in the Ras Mohammed National Reserve, it was inhabited by two mute fish, they protected their home from me by circling around the coral. It is impossible not to notice it under water, with its smooth movements it creates dynamics around itself and fascinates divers. In the sculpture, I depicted the dynamics of the mesmerizing movements of coral, the work is made entirely of recycled paper.
