Kunsthalle Wien is the City of Vienna’s central institution for contemporary art. Across its venues at Museumsquartier and Karlsplatz, it presents exhibitions as well as public programmes and educational formats for diverse audiences each year. We commission new productions and collaborate with local and international artists and institutions to develop exhibitions and publications based on new research, providing artists with a platform for their work. Through our activities, we aim to create a broad space for exchange and discussion, and to foster discourse around contemporary art in all its forms.
