Echoes and Returns – Open Call Guidelines
Welcome to Echoes and Returns, Didots’ upcoming global Autumn exhibition!
This open call is open to artists worldwide and welcomes works across multiple media. The exhibition aims to provide outstanding international artists with opportunities to showcase their talent, increase exposure, receive professional recognition, and expand their future career prospects.
The exhibition will feature both online and offline (U.S.) presentations. All applicants will be granted participation in the high-quality online exhibition. Selected outstanding works, chosen by a professional jury and public voting, will be featured in a physical exhibition in the heart of New York City.
Throughout the exhibition period, participating artists will receive coverage by established media outlets in London and New York, further supporting career development.
Please read the following guidelines carefully to ensure your submission meets the requirements.
1. Key Dates
Open Call Launch: October 1, 2025, 23:59 (GMT)
Submission Deadline: November 20, 2025, 23:59 (GMT)
Jury Review: Begins November 21, 2025
Results Announcement: From November 30, 2025 (via registered email)
New York Exhibition Opening: December 11, 2025
2. Exhibition Venues
Online Exhibition: Accessible via the official Didots website. All artists will be showcased in an immersive online exhibition space, enabling thousands of visitors to experience works simultaneously and engage in a vibrant global artist community.
Offline Exhibition: New York City, USA
3. Participation Fee
Submission Fee: USD 25 per work/series, up to 5 works/series allowed per artist
Offline Exhibition: Selected artists are responsible for shipping their works to New York. No additional costs will be charged. Professional exhibition services will be provided by Didots.
4. Jury & Awards
4.1 Jury Proces
All submissions will be reviewed by a jury composed of scholars, curators, and established artists.
Works will also be presented on the Didots website for public voting.
Final results will combine jury votes and public votes. One jury vote equals 100 public votes.
4.2 Benefits for All Participating Artists
Guaranteed participation in the high-quality online exhibition
Coverage in leading New York art media outlets
Access to Didots’ online workshops with curators, artists, and scholars from around the world
Media coverage usable as credentials for exhibition records and international artist visa applications
4.3 Benefits for Final Selected Artists (approx. 10–20, depending on scale of works)
Participation in the New York offline exhibition (December 2025), directly engaging with an international audience and art institutions
Exclusive Artist Interview, enhancing artistic influence and recognition
Extensive Media Coverage across the U.S., U.K., and China
Future Exhibition Priority – inclusion in Didots’ artist network, with priority invitations to upcoming Didots exhibitions in the U.S., U.K., Japan, Germany, China, and more
Official Participation Certificate, providing authoritative support for professional and academic recognition
5. Submission & Authorization Terms
By submitting your work, you agree to the following:
5.1 Authorization
Didots is granted the right to use submitted works solely for:
Public presentation on Didots’ official website and App
Promotion of the exhibition and related events
Jury evaluation
These rights are limited to the scope of this exhibition unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.2 Copyright & Responsibility
Artists must hold full copyright of submitted works or written authorization from collaborators.
Artists are fully responsible for any disputes, including copyright issues. Didots reserves the right to remove works and revoke participation in case of violations.
5.3 Content Requirements
Works must be complete, suitable for public display, and submitted as high-quality digital files (high resolution).
Works must comply with relevant laws and ethical standards.
5.4 Submission Confirmation
All submissions are final. Please ensure accuracy and completeness before uploading.
6. Notification of Results
Results will be sent via the registered email.
Please ensure your email is valid and regularly checked. Didots is not responsible for undelivered notifications due to invalid email addresses.
7. Participant Responsibilities
By submitting your work, you agree to:
Comply with all rules and requirements outlined in this guideline
Take full responsibility for copyright and ethical compliance of your work
Provide accurate personal and contact information
Violations may result in:
Removal of submitted works
Suspension or termination of your account and exhibition eligibility
Legal or administrative actions where necessary
8. Privacy Protection
Artists’ personal information (e.g., registered email) will only be used for:
Exhibition notifications and results announcements
Didots guarantees confidentiality and will not disclose personal data without consent
9. Disclaimer
Didots is not liable for disputes arising from submitted works, including copyright issues or third-party claims.
Didots reserves the right to modify these guidelines, with updates published on the official website or App.
