Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts and Agriculture (PMRCAA) offers two-week and four-week residencies from March to mid-November. A residency cohort consists of two to four residents who share a large, historic home on the ranch property while each resident is assigned their own private studio.
Since 2018, the program has been supporting artists, scientists, writers and researchers from a variety of fields and with a range of experience levels. Applicants working on mediums such as painting, ceramics/pottery, printmaking, book arts, sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, digital media, photography (digital), installation art, music and performance arts, writing, interdisciplinary work and any scientific and creative research are encouraged to apply.
027 Theme: Process and Material
Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts and Agriculture provides space, time, and resources for writers, visual artists, and those incorporating agricultural components into their research to apply for a two- or four-week residency.
Process and Material, invites artists and scientists to investigate the fundamentals of their practice on a working Ranch in Central Oregon. Whether working with substances drawn from the earth or found objects, all materials hold memory and meaning as the methods of the practitioner work to unfold their potential. In 2027, we encourage artists, conservationists, and scholars to think deeply about their own processes and materials, how they inform the works they create, and to explore new and imaginative opportunities.
We ask that the time spent here at PMRCAA be dedicated to learning, crafting, and experimenting; and includes engaging with our curious and active community in Central Oregon. We welcome work across disciplines and mediums, including ceramics, photography, textiles, arborology, and beyond.
