House of Hulda has partnered with Rise Art to launch a new programme of four fully-funded artist residencies in Andøya, Norway.
At a moment when arts funding continues to contract globally, limiting opportunities for sustained creative development, this collaboration is grounded in a shared commitment to supporting artists at pivotal stages in their careers.
Central to the programme is the belief that time, space and context are essential to artistic development, reflecting a mutual investment in considered, meaningful forms of support that extend beyond short-term visibility.
Open to both emerging and established practitioners, the residencies foreground diverse voices and practices that warrant wider attention. Set against the remote landscape of Andøya, participating artists will have the opportunity to step away from their regular working environments to engage deeply with a setting defined by clarity and isolation.
Following the residency, the four selected artists might get the opportunity to present works developed from their time in Norway in a group exhibition staged across London and Andøya, accompanied by a series of online activations.
