launchpad residencies

Works & Process is holding its first-ever open call for applications. NYC artists who create movement-based work are invited to apply for a residency to start a new project or continue developing an existing work in one of our week-long, out-of-town residencies.

Dates: March 18 - April 22, 2025

Priorities:

• Professional artists working in all dance styles and forms are invited to apply, especially those who represent broad perspectives, continue or re-invent traditions, and/or identify as community leaders and tradition bearers.
• Works & Process is interested in movement-based work that transcends the proscenium and invites audience participation. We encourage projects based in street, club, cultural, or social dance styles, along with other forms that come from the circle/cipher.

Application Bonus

Works & Process is aware that time and effort is devoted to the application process, and in recognition of this, we are pleased to offer every applicant 2 complimentary tickets to a Works & Process event in Fall 2025. Applicants will be notified about how to request these complimentary tickets after the submission deadline has closed.
