iznang young talents ceramics prize

Since 2025 an international young talents prize of ceramics will be awarded, combined with appreciation for all those who dare to take the step into self-employment as full-time ceramists.

Submissions should be submitted on the theme “In Bewegung / in motion."

The winning piece will be chosen by a high-caliber jury of experts. The prize also includes free participation in the Iznanger Ceramics Market 2025.

For particularly convincing submissions, the jury may nominate up to three additional workshops, which will be invited to participate in the 2026 market free of charge. To do this, please tick the box on the registration form: I am interested in participating in the market. The winning piece will be purchased for a collection in addition to the prize money.

The award wants to encourage newcomers to make their contemporary ceramic statement and thus integrate themselves into the ceramics scene, as well as to obtain a place at markets, trade fairs and exhibitions and gain publicity, starting with participation in the Iznang Pottery Market. Each participant competes with a piece, that they designed and created themselves. A multi-part piece can also be submitted in exceptional cases, but no series. Collaborative works by artist communities are permitted, but must be marked as such.
