North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC) and the Essex County Land Bank, is issuing an open call for artists and artist teams to create large-scale floral/botanical installations and puppetry parade elements for:
Blossom Reverie Fair in Downtown Ticonderoga, NY
Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 12:00–6:00 PM
Blossom Reverie Fair is a large-scale spring celebration featuring a downtown street closure, immersive floral installations, flower and plant vendors, art makers, live music, and a large-scale puppetry parade. The event is whimsical, colorful, family-forward, and designed to be highly visual—inviting the public to explore, photograph, and interact with art throughout the downtown district.
We are seeking proposals for
Permanent Flower Sculpture (Public Art)
A durable, outdoor-ready sculpture with floral inspiration to serve as a long-term downtown landmark. Proposals should address weather resistance, safety, maintenance, and longevity.
Immersive Floral / Botanical Installations (Temporary)
High-impact, photo-forward installations for sidewalks, pocket parks, storefront zones, and public gathering areas. We welcome concepts that incorporate:
Floral/botanical themes (real or fabricated materials)
Sculpture, set/scene building, light-based work, or interactive components
Strong visual identity, playful scale, and public engagement
Puppetry Parade Elements (Temporary / Performance-Forward)
Artist-led builds for parade spectacle and movement through downtown, including:
Large puppets, wearable puppets, masks, and costume elements
Pushable builds, props, floats/frames, and kinetic pieces
Whimsical parade visuals that are safe, durable, and designed for public space
