FIA residencies provide opportunities for artists to live and work on Fogo Island for six to eight weeks.
We ask each artist-in-residence to present one public talk, performance, workshop, or similar event during their time on the island residency.
Applications are welcome from contemporary artists living and working in Newfoundland and Labrador. Artists and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines including visual art, film, new media, arts writing, curating, architecture, and design are all eligible to apply.
This new residency is generously supported by anonymous donors.
