Overview

Do you use art and creativity to support a more environmentally sustainable lifestyle for yourself and your family? Are you interested in sharing your skills and practices with the Fergus Falls community to inspire a local movement of creative and sustainable living?

Springboard for the Arts and Otter Tail County Solid Waste are inviting artists, creatives and culture bearers in West Central Minnesota to propose hands-on workshops for a series of monthly “Sustainability Studios” in Springboard’s downtown Fergus Falls location.

Sustainability Studios are intergenerational, creative gatherings that invite the public to use art and creativity to reduce everyday waste; educate and encourage small but significant lifestyle changes that contribute to regional and global sustainability; and celebrate our region’s unique cultural heritage.

Lead 1-2 Sustainability Studios lasting 2 hours. Provide workshop outline two weeks in advance for peer feedback Participate in Sustainability Studios cohort meeting Note: we encourage simplicity! Your proposed project should highlight sustainability, repurposing, and recycled objects. That being said, we discourage purchasing lots of new supplies for these projects and encourage using the stipend to support local makers.
