open call: open stage

cont·act Contemporary Dance Festival 2023 invites dance and movement artists from Singapore and the world to submit their outstanding, completed works to be presented at a mixed bill of high-calibre performance works – Open Stage.

Taking initial reference from the concept of an open mic night, Open Stage is now a much-treasured platform that presents a trove of eclectic dance talent from all over the world each year. Amidst the swift currents of constant production, Open Stage seeks out premiered works that remain relevant, evocative, and exciting. The platform includes 1–2 days of live performances, and a post-show dialogue with all participating artists, where you can connect with local audiences and continue to nurture your viewership. Presenting artists will also be seen by the Festival’s network of international festival directors and programmers, with the possibility of further touring and performance opportunities.
