The next edition of Anima will take place in Flagey and Marni (Brussels) and in a dozen other venues in Belgium from 28 February to 9 March 2025, the same holiday week for French-speaking and Flemish-speaking children! The Festival will feature over 250 films in more than 100 screenings for everyone.

Anima is a qualifying festival for the ACADEMY AWARD® for Best Animated Short Film and awards a wide range of international animated films. In addition to attracting professionals from all over the world, Anima is also a popular and family festival that welcomes more than 40,000 festival-goers every year.
Anima, The Brussels Animation Film Festival, seeks to promote animated films from all over the world and encourage dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public. The Festival presents an official selection with a national and international competition for short and feature films, an information category with retrospective and themed programmes, and a series of conferences entitled Futuranima. Anima is also recognized as a qualifying festival by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the Oscar for best animated short film. Anima does not have a film market.
