Continuing Getty Images’ tradition of supporting in‑depth photojournalism through its Editorial Grants program, Getty Images is offering three grants of $5,000 each to photographers and videographers reporting stories of forced displacement. Within this theme, judges will be looking for visual journalists to show how people around the world have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, political persecution, community violence, human rights violations or events seriously disturbing public order.
These grants are open to both still photographers and videographers, with the aim of producing a photo‑essay or short‑form documentary of no longer than 10 minutes (or a series of shorter vignettes of equivalent length). The grant must be fulfilled within six months of being awarded.
