The Prize is run by members of CBP – painters just like you.

The prize is only made possible due to the incredible hard work of a small team of volunteers from within our membership, who take time out of their own art practices to manage and organise the prize. Moreover, we could not cover the costs, exhibitor’s fees and prize money without generous additional backing.

In particular, we would like to thank John Talbot, collector of contemporary painting, and Lubaina Himid CBE RA for their continued support.

There will be two exhibitions: for the first exhibition a minimum of 12 shortlisted artists will be selected to exhibit at YAS Sheffield. Each artist will exhibit a minimum of three works chosen by the selection panel. The exhibition will be curated by Huddersfield Art Gallery Curates led by Grant Scanlan. The second exhibition takes place at Thames-Side Studios Gallery, London.
