The Akademie Schloss Solitude is awarding three scholarships to young curators. The focus of the curation scholarships is on the development and implementation of internal and public programs and their communication and discourse. This gives young curators the opportunity to further develop their own practice in dialogue with international scholarship holders at the academy, to expand their own network and to open up and expand the concept of curating.
The curatorial scholarship holders are invited to contribute their expertise to the cultural work of the Akademie Schloss Solitude. They are given the opportunity to independently develop their own projects and experimental formats at the interfaces of art, science, technology and society together with other Solitude scholarship holders. Possible focal points can be in the areas of visual, performing and digital arts as well as communication, discourse and (online) publication.
In addition to their own projects, the scholarship holders are expected to get involved in the Academy's program work. This includes supporting the Academy in the curatorial development and implementation of topics, mediation and events (e.g. the Open Solitude format), if necessary, accompanying jury processes and contributing to the editorial work on the Solitude blog.
