ace artist in residence
DESCRIPTION The ACE Artist in Residence Program provides an artist the opportunity to reflect, relax, and create in the inspiring mountains of Alta, Utah. The program is offered in partnership with the Alta Chamber and Visitors Bureau.
The 2022 Art Genre is VISUAL ARTS. Definition as per Wikipedia of Visual Arts: Visual arts are art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, filmmaking, design, crafts, and architecture. Many artistic disciplines such as performing arts, conceptual art, and textile arts also involve aspects of visual arts as well as arts of other types. Also included within the visual arts are the applied arts such as industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, and decorative art.
Community Contribution by the Artist: Our goal is to provide a peaceful, inspiring setting for the selected artist. We do ask that the artist provides a small community event, a blog post, a social media takeover or something they may have in mind that can help tell the story of their creative time at Alta. This can happen either during their stay or afterward.
