residency open call for uk-based artists at urra, argentina

We are now accepting applications from visual artists, based in the United Kingdom, for a fully funded residency at URRA in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 7 September to 23 November 2026. The residency is supported by ERA Foundation, and is hosted in Casa URRA, a newly refurbished building. The opportunity is developed in partnership with Gasworks, in alliance with Fundación arteBA, Argentina.

URRA´s residency programme is an opportunity for self-led professional development, artistic exchange, experimentation and networking. URRA residency programmes generate spaces where artists can fully focus on their practice and develop new projects with no pressure to produce finished work. URRA promotes the work of participants through different events that establish dialogue with the artistic audience and the entire community.

URRA provides significant pastoral and curatorial support throughout the residency; however, artists are also expected to be proactive and self-motivated and lead the research and production of their work while in Buenos Aires.
