karosta festival 2023 - more art than ever

For more than a hundred years Karosta was a naval base closed to the public. Now, decades after the military has left, Karosta is having a second life. Industry, nature, tourism and local residents must co-exist. Here you can find unique architecture and absurd structures on every corner. Karosta will never be fully explored or fully understood and yet we are here to try. To enrich the environment of this part of the town, the artwork must be as brave and unique as Karosta itself. 5th annual Karosta Festival is hosted by a NGO that works in Karosta since 2002.
