In this course, participants will have the opportunity to learn and explore the potential relationships between image, rhythm, and sound in animation and will be introduced to the work of artists like Walther Ruttmann, Norman McLaren, Michel Gondry, Anthony Francisco Shepperd, etc. Through the introduction of synchronization principles between music and animation, participants will be able to develop their own creative practice and gather essential tools in order to convey a coherent relationship between melody and moving image.

About Tiago Araújo (1991)
Freelance animator, illustrator, and visual artist from Porto, Portugal. Has a BA in Fine Arts / Multimedia from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. His short-film "Patrioska" was screened in more than 60 film festivals worldwide, like Animafest Zagreb and Landshut Kurzfilm Festival.
