In the middle of unique nature and about three kilometers from the village center, lies the Spiekerooger campsite - one of the most beautiful natural campsites in Europe. A place that inspires - here you get your head free for the essentials. For years, artists have been using the campsite as a retreat, source of their inspiration and creativity. The "Spiekerooger Zeltplatz Residenz" would like to support this, the art scholarship allows the winner to implement a temporary art project on the car-free island. A tent will be provided as a residence, as well as the winner will receive financial support and extensive communication services. Funding is provided for art projects that take place in public space, generate attention to social and ecological problems and raise public awareness of them. The topic is redefined annually.
