In a public call for submissions, we invite international artists to submit contributions on the theme described below for a juried group exhibition in our exhibition spaces.
In all parts of the world, women are fighting against the climate crisis. Both visible, such as Luisa Neubauer, German activist, Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, or Vanessa Nakate, African climate ambassador, as well as numerous individuals in everyday life. Structural and geographical conditions ensure that women can be particularly affected by climate change. At the same time, they are still underrepresented in political decision-making processes and technical climate professions. We ask international artists: What does the work of these active women for climate protection look like?
The exhibition, with its works, is planned and implemented in a resource-saving manner. Artists are requested to specify the percentage of recycled material used in their work. As a team, sustainability is not just our content, but also our practice.
We are accompanying the exhibition with a dialogue-oriented program. Artists as well as external participants are cordially invited to contribute their own ideas for lectures, workshops, readings, or other formats.
