Overview

In the summer of 2025, the Hasselblad Foundation will inaugurate Sweden's largest photo salon – Fotosalongen 2025.

We invite both amateur and professional photographers across all genres to submit their work through an open call, running from 2 September to 30 November, 2024. The selection process will be conducted by a distinguished jury comprising Pauline Benthede, Global Vice President of Exhibitions at Fotografiska; Eva Dahlgren, renowned artist and dedicated photographer; Paul Hansen, award-winning photographer at Dagens Nyheter; and Dragana Vujanovic Östlind, Jury Chair and Chief Curator at the Hasselblad Foundation.

Our objective is to curate an exhibition that showcases a diverse array of photographic styles and perspectives. The walls of the Hasselblad Center will be adorned with works that offer unexpected encounters and surprises, where the creations of established artists will be displayed alongside those of emerging talents and seasoned photographers who have yet to present their work publicly.

This photo salon seeks to represent the full spectrum of contemporary photography, embracing practitioners whose interests range from documentary and photojournalism to nature, family, street style, science, politics, and the arts. Selection will not be confined to a specific theme; rather, it will focus on identifying compelling images and narratives that resonate with depth and diversity of expression. Selection will focus on identifying compelling images and narratives that resonate with depth and diversity of expression. Our goal is to capture a comprehensive snapshot of current photographic practices.

We eagerly anticipate your application!
