The City will commission an artist/artist team for a work for hire project to design, fabricate, and install a sculpture to be placed at the north entrance of the Ali Cultural Center. The sculpture’s theme is “Rooted Pride, Living Legacy.” The artwork should honor the Black community of Pompano Beach’s Northwest—its culture, history, pride, style, creativity, and resilience—acknowledging struggle while celebrating a future in motion and a legacy that never gives up.
The purchase budget established for the project is $35,000.00. The price will include all insurance, taxes, fees, permits, delivery, lighting, concrete base/pad installation and engineering and artwork installation.
