The Institute for Studies on Latin American Art (ISLAA) is pleased to announce its 2026 Call for ISLAA Research Fellowship
This fellowship reflects ISLAA’s ongoing commitment to expanding scholarship, fostering dialogue, and promoting access to knowledge in modern and contemporary art and visual culture from Latin America, the Caribbean, and their diasporas. The program supports projects that contribute to graduate theses, academic publications, and conference presentations.
All fellowships will take place at ISLAA's headquarters in New York City, located at 142 Franklin Street in Tribeca, during the academic year from September 2026 through June 2027.
Five fellowships will be awarded: 2 in Fall 2026, 2 in Spring 2027, and 1 in Summer 2027.
