call for lacework on the theme "rhythm"

Kant in Vlaanderen invites you to create work on the theme of ‘Rhythm’ and in the context of Erfgoeddag 2025. The creations will be on display in an exhibition in the Sint-Catharina church at the Begijnhof in Diest.

The theme invites you to seek inspiration in rhythm and movement, to let others experience that heritage can be lively, changing and captivating. A challenge to dare to play with the past, the present and the future.

‘Rhythm’ encourages you to explore, experiment and discover lace heritage in new ways. Kant in Vlaanderen wants to show the challenges and possibilities of this craft, from traditions to innovations. This edition of Erfgoeddag wants to highlight the many ways in which heritage inspires, amazes and fascinates. Rhythm also wants to acknowledge the role heritage plays in people's lives.
