Artists' books receive little support, both financially and in terms of distribution, despite their prominent place in art history and in the careers of their creators. This is why ADAGP – the French society for the collection and distribution of copyright in the visual arts – and SGDL – the French Society of Authors – have launched a grant program to encourage the realization of artist book projects. The Arcane grant provides support for the conception and production of an artist's book, a collaborative project between a visual artist and a writer.
