esc 2036: 0—1

ESC 2036 is 0—1’s annual open call for contemporary artists imagining roughly ten years ahead through the pressure points of the present: climate change, extraction, technology, and human existence. Since 2020, ESC has been tracing works at the edge of nature and technology, following how they take shape in bodies, cities, infrastructures, and shared environments. Part of 0—1, a nomadic curatorial platform shaped by movement, curiosity, and artists who keep things in motion, the call looks for works that feel close to now while pointing beyond it.

Selected artists will be included in a curated group exhibition in the Netherlands in 2026–2027, with additional visibility through 0—1’s website and social media.
