“tavira in focus” photography contest

As part of the celebrations for World Tourism Day (27 September), the Municipality of Tavira is launching the “Tavira in Focus” photography competition. The aim of this competition is to encourage photography, stimulate artistic sensitivity and raise awareness of the potential of the region and its attractiveness to visitors.

The aim of this initiative is to explore the municipality from different perspectives, namely its natural beauty, the way of life of its communities and the richness of its heritage. Photographers are invited to capture the essence of the heritage, the strength of local traditions for the sustainability of the territory, as well as to offer a critical view on current and future tourism investments in Tavira.

The photographs entered into the competition must be taken in the municipality and fall within the following themes:

• Theme A: “Tavira: Between the Blue Sea and Cultural Heritage”
• Theme B “Flavors and Health: Mediterranean Diet Life in Tavira”
