This year, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich presents the H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance for the 19th time, to date Austria’s only prize for performance in the context of visual art. The aim of the prize is to spotlight the diversity of contemporary performance– in Austria and beyond.

The premiere of the winning performance project and the award ceremony will take place on Fri, 21.11.2025 at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich. An accompanying exhibition (22.11.-06.12.2025) offers our audience the opportunity to engage with the content of the performance project and the artistic practice of the winner outside of the award ceremony itself.

With the intention to increase the international visibility of the local performance art scene and to make a lasting contribution to its promotion, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich awards this year’s H13 Prize again in partnership with an internationally renowned partner institution – this time our partner is Studio Voltaire in London. In addition to the prize money, the H13 winner will undertake a residency at Studio Voltaire, which offers a wide range of opportunities for creative exchange and professional development.
