The Artist Residency Program welcomes professional artists to think, experiment, work and create in an artistic lakeside yet urban environment, culminating in a one month exhibition of the artist-in-resident's work in Gallery 191.
There are two artist-in-residence opportunities:
Artist responsibilities:
Recipient is responsible for all costs in excess of the honorarium;
Recipient must work in the studio a minimum of 14 hours per week, and a maximum of 21 hours, during operating hours;
Recipient to participate in Doors Open Toronto and the Guild Alive with Culture Art Festival by providing tours of residency space to the public;
Recipient is responsible for gallery install and take-down; and,
Recipient must actively participate in the promotion of the program, the site, and the opening reception through their own networks and effort.
