Lens Dans Video Dance Festival is a newly created festival that will showcase emerging artists from the video dance discipline. Lens Dans Festival’s first edition was celebrated in February 2021 and hosted different events between Brussels and Barcelona. In this edition, we are presenting two different open calls, one for the VIDEO DANCE projects and another one for the LIVE PERFORMANCE.

We aim to make this festival a reference in video dance, creating a platform where artists from different disciplines can share their art and develop their talent worldwide. Lens Dans Fest will take place over two days, showcasing different video dance works and activities. These include:

• Screening of the short films from the video dance competition : A competition will be held to recognize different aspects such as the creative idea, the best choreography and the video technique, and other categories.

• Live performances by the winners from our open call.

• Conferences and open microphone sessions connect artists worldwide, promote the speakers' work, and create a space for debate on the topic.

The festival intends to provide recognition for work in the video dance discipline, with an economic money prize, along with recognition and visibility to the first three winning pieces of the video dance competition that will be shown at the festival.
