public art commission - installation/sculpture

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council are looking for an artist or artist collective to create a new public art installation/sculpture for an area of open space in Basingstoke.

The council's vision is to create an inspiring piece of art that enhances the area's surroundings. The artwork should reflect and have benefits for the natural environment, complement the natural ecosystem and provide a place for wildlife to live.

The area has been previously enhanced by a programme to create a rewilding meadow and local artists have been commissioned to work with community groups, residents and local schools to create three new murals reflecting the natural environment.
