limen - art residency

LIMEN is a two-week residency for artists, filmmakers, writers, and researchers who need real, uninterrupted time — not a weekend, not a rushed sprint, but fourteen days to think, make, and be changed by the place they're in.

Based at Casa M, a restored farmhouse in the medieval village of Siddi, Sardinia, residents work independently in their own studio practice while being part of a small group of fellow artists — held in company without losing solitude. Alongside individual work, group sessions rooted in regenerative practices open up memory, both personal and collective, as material for the work itself — what a body carries, what a place holds onto, what gets passed down without ever being named. This material is read through an explicitly political and queer lens, attentive to visibility, erasure, and how power writes itself onto bodies, landscapes, and relationships.

The residency is open to conceptual artists, mixed media artists, land artists, visual artists, filmmakers, photographers, researchers, designers, illustrators, educators, community makers, and writers. No prior experience with anthropological or ethnographic methods is required — only curiosity, and a willingness to let two weeks actually change the work.

No public showing is required.
