We are pleased to announce the new open call for our next issue. “Out of Place” is a term that spans multiple layers of meaning. It can indicate something inappropriate, a feeling of psychological disalignment, or literally an element placed out of place. From Duchamp's 'Fountain' (1917) to the intentional imperfections in Islamic mosaics, out of place becomes a critical gesture, a conscious act, a way to challenge rules, contexts, and hierarchies.
