Biophilia is an ongoing series that explores the innate need that humans have for nature. I believe that painting plants is an act of biophilia because it is an attempt to conjure nature in an unnatural environment.

The red flower represents a tumor that was growing on the Yellow Dog's leg. Her name was Roxy.

CMYK is a 111" X 53" canvas on canvas acrylic painting. Each 'tile' has the CMYK color code for that tile after I used the 'average' function under the 'blur' option in Photoshop. Without the use of technology, this painting wouldn't be possible.
