This piece is derived as a work from a poem based on a quotation created by the poet Matsui Shigeru and the singer Kawamoto Makoto. The strokes of movement are visualized in the space.
The poem was decomposed and reconstructed, and the resulting screen was calligraphed. The lines in the calligraphy are a part of the letters, and I tried to keep their existence as words as far away from the writer as possible.

Due to the effects of COVID-19, we were unable to gather together to create and view the works, so we decided to create the works on Google Spread Sheet. Nana drew lines using functions such as "shape drawing," while Kenji used a scanner to scan or screenshot the entire screen and then pasted the images.
In the same way that in a performance in a real space, viewers can focus on any part of the work they want to.
In the same way that in a performance in a real space, the viewer can focus on a specific part of the spreadsheet to appreciate the work.We produced it periodically from 2020 to 2021.

was written on top of the grids the letter" 一 ".The assumption of 10cm and 1 second is the artist's "subjective time. The assumption of 10cm and 1 second is the artist's "subjective time," while the time measured by the stopwatch represents the "unit of time" determined by society. I created this work with the aim of seeing a space where "time as subjectivity" and "time as a unit" are mixed. (178-42-14) means 178 minutes, 42 seconds, and 14 seconds, the total amount of time in which the letter "-" is written on the screen.

This creates the starry sky  that sleeps in the city right here in Tokyo Midtown. The concept is to spur awareness. I wonder whether we can see starry night skies as we go about our urban lives. In our lives in modern cities,we have a weakened awareness of living our lives along with starry night skies. With large buildings and a massive amount of light,cities swallow up the star in the night sky.  I think that displaying a star chart here at Tokyo Midtown means bringing back the existence of the starry skies swallowed up by the city to people’s lives and awareness. 

Seizu

Calligraphy is said to be the art of the time. Then, what is the difference between visual and auditory memory, such as music and dance, which are called temporal art?
I created this work based on the assumption that the kind of memory that stays with you, regardless of whether it is real or not, is the same in that you feel time. I am attempting to trace on paper the movements of Butoh as expressed in Tatsumi Hijikata's words and handed down from generation to generation and to establish them as a collection of trajectories.

Live Scan consists of 2 roles. The “Drawing” was done by Nana, and the “Capturing” by Kenji.
Seo captures the lines drawn by Shimomura with a scanner, which is then printed out on a 100% scale.
The two roles are layered on top of each other to create an image that blurs the boundary between original and reproduction.

We don't always see only one direction of time.
The digitized information in front of us is "the past" = "the mutable future," and we can visually live together with the time axis of "the present" through the monitor.
The series of "XX cm = 1 second," which I have been creating as two-dimensional works, was presented as a real-time online work.
A real-time online work is a proposal for a form of work that shares time and transmits information through a one-way monitor.Real-time video is combined with recorded video to create a visual cohabitation of the ever-advancing "present" and the ever-changing "past" on various time axes.
