Firenze in the Mirror I ( 2021, original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper) is part of My Italy series of expressionist metaphorical works picturing Italy. I am living and working in Italy a part of the year, and Italy is an important part of my artistic world in many of its aspects. In My Italy series, my approach is to portray the essence of Italy as I see and feel it via metaphors of its beauty, harmony, uniqueness, richness of colours,  and the source of universal aesthetic vision.

Amber Flight III ( 2021, original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper) is part of Dilemmas series of modern botanical-theme still-life works. Dilemmas series are inspired by music and ballet, from one side, and from the beauty of nature, from the other. The key-element in these compositions is its inner dynamic. The coloristic decision of these works is having a role of a special language of this visual narrative.

Reading Bruno Schultz ( 2019, original drawing in mixed media, hand-applied pigment on bronze on authored pigment print on cotton paper) is part of Reading series of works which are homages to important writers. These works are referring to the writers protagonists' both life stories,  their important work and the essence of their legacy, importantly. In the case of Bruno Schultz, the story of his life is utterly tragic, and the world of his great books is magic and wounded.

Leonardo's Message ( 2020, original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper)  is part of Homages series of works which are revisiting the world's culture in a modern way and aesthetic and from a modern point of view. These works are metaphorical ones and they bear a philosophical message. With its inner intensity, I opted to resolve the work in a laconic way. I do believe in  a special power and magnetism of laconism in art, and do believe that in many cases of art, 'less is more'.

Poet's Dream ( 2020, original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper) is part of Haiku Album series. These works are created as modern artistic examination of Japanese cultural tradition which I am devoted fan of. I was also interested in creating the work resolved in close palette colours but which is multi-dimensional in its message. Japanese tradition provides indeed a wide spectrum of expressionist possibilities to an artist. I find this tradition timeless and always relevant and responding to various challenges at any time. I especially appreciate the suggestivity and laconism of this tradition which in fact permits you to express more still working in a subdued and elegant way.

Waiting for Turner II, 2021 ( original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper) is part of Waiting for Turner series of marine landscapes. These works have been created in an expressive manner trying to convey the essence of miracles of sea which I love, and also artistically examining water which is a very special element for me. The work has been pre-selected for participation in the Annual Exhibition 2021 of the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries in London, the UK, in autumn 2021.

Song in Blue II is part of Songs in Colours series of expressionist works. In technique, the work is original drawing in mixed media , including Chinese red paste, on authored pigment print on cotton paper. Songs in Colours depicts my expressionist works in which inner dynamics is a crucial element. I am interested in artistic exploration of these dynamics in nature, both seen and unseen, which could be translated into the artistic force. I am examining this engaging process in such series as Songs in Colours, Dances in Colours, Sketches, and the others. Not only direct parallels with nature are of interest for me when I am creating this kind of works, but also an opportunity to create an artistic metaphor which would live its own life and pose its own questions. If an artist is able to create a question in his or her work by doing it in an aesthetic and stylish way, such effort is worthy and engaging, from my point of view.

Cio-Cio-san I ( 2021), original drawing in mixed technique, with hand-applied pigment of silver, is part of Dilemmas series of modern botanical still-life works which are referring to musical and ballet world. The series are inspired by ballet and music from one side, and from the nature, from another. This work also bears philosophical reference and allusion on human life circle, from young age symbolised by fresh rose petals through the life with reference to progressively withering petals. In the way, it can be said that this work is a portrait of a human life, with its hopes, aspirations, interests and the time that challenges it. Still, beauty, finesse, music, arts and its symbols are agents of mercy on that road.

Still-Life with Three Apples ( 2021), original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper, is part of Shaped Colours series of modern still-life works. These works were created to explore the modern way of still-life genre emphasising its inner dynamic, laconism in conveying a metaphor, and referring to legacy of strong artistic talent, in this case, Warhol. I happen to know Warhol in a special way, being privileged to know personally Ina Ginsburg, the one of his close friends and patrons who was graceful to share with me her recollections and many of Warhol's original works which were at her collection - and which are quite different from the iconically known Warhol's works. This journey into the depth of Warhol's inner world and his works enabled me to seeing and know his vision from a different perspective. I believe, such original artistic dialogues are vibrant, productive and engaging,

The Poetry of Triangle is part of Zen Lines series. In technique, the work is original drawing in mixed media on authored pigment print on cotton paper mounted on art panel. By using a natural subjects as the artwork's prototypes, I would like to emphasise an organic connection with nature and its elements. I also am interested in a beauty and elegance of an organic forms, both of shells and the pearl portrayed in the work, and am intrigued by their understated but magnetic colours. The composition tells about fragility of stability and open-endness of various situation in life.
