For a lot of people self isolation has been a time to explore new opportunites or work on passion projects or just relax and do some yoga but as the mother of a toddler I spent 110% taking care of my child. 
I have a window of opportunity while she naps between 12.00 - 14.00 and this is where I have been walking around my Kiez in serious contemplation of the strange times that we are now in. Everything changes and yet stays the same... just with no physical contact to anyone else. 

My paintings reflect the blue and grey emotions that I went through during this time in a not so subtle way. The layers upon which society is made up like building blocks on top of each other.  How only when you scratch onto the surface can you see what is sparkling underneath.  Berlin's colourful party people are still shining  under the layer of isolation it just may take a bit more time and few more layers till we see them again.
