Documentary photographer (b. 1978), Simone D’Angelo attended the Masterclass Luz Academy held in Rome by Massimo Mastrorillo with the CESURA and Discipula Editions collectives. With I must have been blind and Santabarbara, two projects about his birthplaces, Simone receives awards in festivals and competitions such as Leica Talent, Premio Tabo e Umbria Photo Fest and was among the finalists of the Portfolio Italia 2018 award. He has exhibited in festivals as Fotoleggendo Rome, Riaperture Ferrara and Kolga Tblisi. Simone is also a graduated visual designer at the European Design Institute. As a photographer he is looking for his personal vision on long-term projects, investigating the thin line between reality and fiction.
