rockland residency

Rockland Residency is open to dedicated artists engaged in a creative process involving and not limited to: visual art, writing, music, performance, social practice and new media. Rockland supports artists to generate new ideas by momentarily removing daily-life obstacles by providing time and space (and food) to obtain their highest creative thought possible. There are no obligations to produce, perform or present.

Rockland Woods is the property location of our residencies on the Kitsap Peninsula, one and a half hours west of Seattle, WA, USA. There is a Lodge, canvas tents, vintage trailer, ceramics studio and woodshop, in addition to private work spaces. The 20-acre property consists of a non-motorized lake and lush forest with small trails.

9 Residents in Fall and 7 Residents in Winter will work at Rockland Woods along with 1-2 staff. Rockland Staff are also artists, working in their studios during residency.
